Updated: Portland Antifa members arrested at election night direct action

Report updated:

Violent Portland Antifa member Jarrid Bailey Huber (b. June 6, 1999), was arrested and charged at the midterm election direct action in downtown targeting the office of moderate city council candidate Rene Gonzalez, who won over far-left incumbent Jo Ann Hardesty. Huber was quickly released without bail.

Portland Police said in a press release that they were conducting a "directed patrol after open source information suggested there would be a gathering where participants were being encouraged to engage in property destruction."

A group of black bloc militants tried shutting down the road by moving signs and dumpsters into the street. Margaret Rose Pape, 28, formerly known as Max Thorn Pape, was a trans Antifa member who was issued a criminal citation along with 32-year-old Derek A. Cooley. They were not booked into jail but are ordered to appear in court at a later date.

Huber's arrest marks at least his third arrest related to Antifa rioting spanning years. The 23-year-old self-identified journalist uses Twitter to organize and promote riots, and has open cases for multiple felonies related to arson and rioting last year. He was also investigated over his links to an Antifa video death threat against Mayor Ted Wheeler. Huber has met with Wisconsin BLM leader Frank David Sensabaugh, who was later arrested and charged with rape

Antifa riot arrestee shuts down Portland city hall

On May 31, 2023, Portland Antifa riot arrestee Hailley M. Nolan shut down a public city hall meeting to protest the city's belated efforts to remove homeless encampments. She dares police to arrest her but they do not. She claims to have connections to President Obama and Biden. In June 2020, Nolan was arrested at an Antifa autonomous zone occupation in northwest Portland where rioters attacked residential buildings and businesses. At least one person was carrying a rifle at the direct action to intimidate the public from intervening. Her case was dropped by DA Mike Schmidt's office. In February 2020, Nolan crashed a Portland Police press conference about an Antifa-involved mass shooting. She went on a rant about the Gypsy Jokers at the time, igniting a short-lived feud between the bikers and Antifa.

UK: Trans sex offender convicted for violently abusing another woman
Zara Jade has a long history of violent crimes against women

A trans person with a history of sexual violence has been convicted and sentenced to nine years in jail in West Yorkshire, England for violently abusing a woman.

Zara Jade, 54, was sentenced at the Bradford Crown Court on March 27 after earlier pleading guilty to charges that include false imprisonment, assault and robbery.

Jade imprisoned her female partner by tying her to a chair using tights. She stabbed her and stole money from the woman’s bank account at an apartment in Halifax, England.

Jade previously served five years in jail for a rape conviction in 1998 and another sex crime conviction in 2013.

After serving two-thirds of her jail sentence, Jade will be eligible for early release. She will be on probation for three years and is barred from contacting the victim. She will serve her jail sentence in a male prison due to new government rules banning trans women with male genitalia from being housed with female inmates. The new prison rules angered trans activists.

A Canadian government study published this year looking into trans inmates in federal prisons revealed that most trans women (i.e., males who identify as women) were convicted of serious violent offenses and sex crimes, with over half of their sex victims being children. The UK and US governments do not publish data on trans inmates.
